- Unboxing the printer : When we buy a new printer , we have to carefully unbox the printer and remove all accessories from the box
- Install Ink Cartridges : After unboxing the printers, we need to install the inkcartidges to printers to ink cartridge compartment . For that, firstly we need to unpack the ink cartridges and insert them into the right slot and ensure they placed into right place
- Load Paper : We need to pull out the paper tray and adjust right size of the paper. Place the stack of paper into the tray and adjust the tray so papers can aligned properly.
- Connect the Printer : Plugin the printer into a power source and turn it on. And then connect the printer to the Computer/ Network. There are three different connections :-
. Wired Connection : Use a USB cable to connected the printer directly to the computer
. Wireless Connection : For WIFI . Follow the instunctions on the printer’s display to connect to your wireless network.
. Ethernet Connection : If using a ethernet cable , We need to connect the ethernet cable from printer to the router. - Install Printer Drivers : For the installation of the drivers of the printer, we need to insert the CD and insert into the computer and follow on- screen instuctionn or we can download the drivers from the Canon website for the right operating system.
- Setup Printer On Computer : After installation of the drivers, go to settings and add the printer to the computer.
- Print a Test Page : Print a test page to confirm the everything to setup correctly
SETUP PRINTER THORUGH IJSETUP
- Open the browser and access the ij start canon.
- Once you are on the website, you will be asked to enter the canon printer model number. Enter the accurate model.
- Once you enter the right model model number , website will provide you the software and then download and install the software according to the on- screen instructions.
- Connect your printer though USB Cable or Wirelessly and follow the instructions to complete the setup.
- Follow the remaining steps to complete the setup process . This includes printer settings, product registration and run-in test pages.
SETUP ISSUES WITH SOLUTIONS
- Can’t find the printer during setup

- Restart Devices : Restart your printer, router and computer. Wait for 30 seconds and then power on them again
- Verify Network Settings : Recheck the network settings though printer wireless configuration and also check the printer broadcast settings.
- Update Printer Software : Few times, Printer is not updated for a long. So, update your printer though canon website.
- Reset Wifi Settings: Check your printer’s manual and reset the connection again
- Use WPS : If router supports WPS, Use this feature to make the song and simply connection again.
